A night of labor but no pups yet. I slept with Cadi next to me and had a leash attached to us so I would wake up if she left, although I use the word "slept" rather loosely for both of us! She is panting and uncomfortable, and wants to go outside and dig -- all good signs. She will have those puppies today -- if she does not start delivering them we will have a c-section later this afternoon. Waiting too long after a temperature drop can be a problem so we will not risk that.
Think good thoughts!
Good morning Montana!!
ReplyDeleteIt's great to be awake and read the update on Cadi. She was the first thing I thought about this morning and wondered if the babies had arrived overnight. I knew we must be close as I spent most of the late afternoon and early evening cleaning and tidying frantically - I call it my own version of nesting!!
Jed just came upstairs to ask me if there was any news and get his morning cuddle - I told him not yet, but soon! It's ok, he's resting comfortably again now. ;0)
Give Cadi a hug and lots of belly rubs from us. Give yourselves a big pat on the back - you are doing a great job!
